I used to live and work in Phoenix, AZ. I left in Oct 2017 to move back to Southern California, where I grew up. After working at a few media companies, I ended up at SiriusXM working as an AP for the Mad Dog Sports Channel and their West coast shows. I ended up leaving in early 2022 to become my mother's fulltime caregiver.
Ram Dass says we're just walking each other home. Well, when you're caregiving, that phrase means a whole lot more. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to care for her.
Throughtout this time I learned a lot about myself. I also read a few books that had a positive impact on my life. "The Surrender Experiment" by Michael Singer and "How To Change Your Mind" by Michael Pollan.
I've had many strange experiences during this time of self-discovery as well. Synchronicities come to mind :) And still do. They're so much fun to notice!
The one thing I would like to share with others is that you must take care of yourself before taking care of someone else.
Eat healthy, be active and
have something to live for. :)
